Just because you’re no longer in your twenties doesn’t mean that your dates have to be traditional or boring.  Whether it’s your first date, third date, or tenth date, if your looking for a feel-like-a-kid-again date idea, check out our list below!

1. Take a Sunset Cruise

Set sail on a sunset dinner cruise. Think about it: You’ve got a beautiful view, great food, a cool breeze, and no distractions.

2. Sports Game

If your date is a sports fan, this date idea is a no-brainer. Whether or not you are rooting for the same team, sporting events exciting to watch. Plus, they are great for avoiding any awkward first-date silence — you can always watch the game if you run out of things to talk about!

The options are endless — there is guaranteed to be a football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, or hockey event near you. If not, check out event schedules for a local city league.

3. Watch a Movie

Remember when you were a teenager and the local theater was the go-to date spot? Who says you can’t do that now that you’re older?

Not sure what to see? We asked over 8,500 FirstMet.com singles who overwhelmingly agreed (80%) that comedy or adventure flicks are the way to go. Save the horror movies for date number two.

4. Play Mini Golf

Hit the putting green! Mini golf is a great, fairly inexpensive way to get to know each other. It can also be a way to introduce a little playful competition. Make bets with each other about who can make the shot in the fewest strokes.

5. Go Dancing

If you’re brave enough, hit a local dance club and show off your moves. Or book a private salsa or ballroom dance class. It’s a great excuse to get close.
